Years ago an American girl met a Frenchman in Paris. In 2003 their dream restaurant opened. Owned and operated by Lisa and Philippe Boet, this cozy and chic bistro serves market-inspired French classics and dishes handed down through generations. (They even offer delicious vegan/vegetarian options.) Dogs warmly welcomed on outside patio.

Having opened its doors in 1976, The Dock holds a lot of history within its walls. Located right on the Bay (and steps from Paws pet boutique), it offers great views and food in a casual setting. It's situated right next to the Naples City Dock, so it's always fun to watch the boats. Their inviting outdoor patio is on the side of the restaurant. The menu offers a little something for everyone and includes Blue Zone options.

Quiet Waters Park

Open dawn to dusk everyday except Tuesdays (closed).

Enjoy walking, jogging or biking on 6 miles of scenic paved trails throughout this beautiful 336-acre county park nestled on the South River and Harness Creek. Picnic areas are available to complete your visit. Your dog may also enjoy the dog park (first in Anne Arundel County). The dog park is double gated with 6 ft. fencing around the 1-acre area. It is divided into a small and large dog park, so dogs can play with dogs their same size. We sponsored a bench that's located right outside the dog park, so you can sit and enjoy watching the dogs play. The name of our first Jack Russell, Jonah, is on the bench. The dog beach inside the Park is now open again too!

Great Frogs Winery 3218 Harness Creek Road, Annapolis

Enter the driveway lined with rows of grapevines and you'll feel transported to wine country.  Enjoy award-winning wines that showcase the terroir of the Chesapeake Bay region. Our Ben's Dog-friendly Cruises, supporting ALDF, were aboard Watermark's Harbor Queen! Please give them a heads up that your dog will be joining you and tell them Paws pet boutique sent you! Water taxi service around the waterways by Watermark is also dog-friendly.

Links to Animal-Related Rescues and Charities in Annapolis Area

Looking to add a fur kid to your family, volunteer or make a donation to a worthy non-profit? Here's a list of Annapolis area groups that make a difference (in no particular order):

Animal Legal Defense Fund

While not located in Annapolis, this nation group fights to protect the lives and advance the interests of animals through the legal system. Through ALDF we found our dog Ben - who inspired many dog-friendly Annapolis charity events. We fostered Ben in 2005/6 during the ALDF vs. Woodley case. After two plus years, ALDF won the case in 2007 and freed over 300 dogs that would have never known what a home was if it was not for ALDF. Visit their site to learn more or to sign up for their newsletter. We are proud supporters of this amazing animal advocate organization that represents innocent clients.

Maryland Votes for Animals

A Political Action Group with a mission to create a voting bloc of animal advocates who work to represent animal welfare in Maryland laws.
