Ben’s Dog-Friendly Annapolis Waterfront Benefit

Enjoy a unique and fabulous night out with your best friends (2 to 4-legged)! Join Ben, the little Jack Russell mascot at Paws pet boutique, for an evening of festivities to include music by Dave Tieff, a wine tasting with Wine Cellars of Annapolis, human refreshments, finger foods and of course a dog cake! The date is Saturday, September 8, the time is 6 to 9 PM and the setting is a private Marina Clubhouse in Annapolis. Dick of The Smothers Brothers plans to attend and draw the raffle winner for his Cruisin’ Bike. Raffle tickets are also available to win “Dancing with the Stars” VIP tickets to a live Performance Show in California. Generous businesses and individuals have donated amazing prizes to the silent auction, including Dogwood Acres Pet Retreat, Bay Hills Golf, Carpaccio’s, Red Leash Pet Photography, Gucci, Southwest Airlines, Ram’s Head, Calderwood Inn, Woodstone at Massanutten, Scotlaur Inn and Historic Inns of Annapolis to name just a few! All proceeds donated to support animals.
So why put all the effort into hosting this event? Ben was rescued from a hoarder with over 400 dogs thanks to the Animal Legal Defense Fund. Hosting this event is a way of saying “thank you” to ALDF for all their work to protect the lives of animals through the legal system. “Ben inspires us to enjoy even the simplest moments - like walking on grass and spending time with those special to you”, shares Michelle Kownacki, owner of Paws pet boutique and “Mom” of Ben. All proceeds from Ben’s Benefit and raffles will be donated to ALDF so other animals like Ben will be helped. If you can’t attend, consider fetching a Ben’s Benefit T-shirts at Paws pet boutique.
